Our Overnight Trip to Logan

We took a quick overnight trip to Logan this weekend, simply to get away. Our usual Hotel that we stay in was booked out, so we holed up at "Comfort Inn". Can I just say for the record: IT WAS A HORRIBLE HOTEL. Wow. I feel better already! Needless to say, the indoor pool was FREEZING and the kids refused to get in. I sure don't blame them, I tried it and almost got hypothermia! Anyway, the whole point was to just get away, so we managed to have fun. Gentry, Traci's sister came with us, and I think she enjoyed herself. We sure had fun having her come with us. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Cameron had a great time jumping on the bed- especially since he cant do that at home!

We also stopped by Cameron and Betsy's home on the way up, and the boys discovered the electric 4x4 in the back. They had the time of their lives! The last picture was my favorite. Its only blurry because they were chasing me while I was attempting to take pictures. :p

Stash

So my son has a problem. Hording. If you take the time to look in the small cracks and corners of the house, you'll find Zac's little stashes of food. You would think, that our personal food storage is sufficient, but Zac has better ideas. These are a few items I came across tonight, and they only show a few of the many things that he has stashed around the house. There must be a good way of breaking this boy of mine of this habit, right? Does anyone have any good ideas? Traci wanted me to point out, that the chocolate from this picture is a Santa chocolate... Thus, you see how well he stashes his food.

Happy Easter!

I have other photos I need to add to this post, but I haven't had time to fix them in photoshop. This picture of Jacob turned out great, I love it when my boys don't make funny faces and are actually photogenic!

UPDATE:
Here is 1 more photo, the rest of them will be updated as I get around to editing them!!!

This is my last one I am going to edit from Easter. I am not real happy with the outcome... I had to change the background from what it was,the house, to what it is now, the bushes, and I dont love it as much as the others... but its different!

Sorry Cameron!

So my brother-in-law has started a Blog. I have to admit, he's pretty darn funny. So I started to check his blog pretty regularly to see what he has come up with. As I was looking at some of his links, he has a section called:

"Blogs I Link to, but for Some Reason Refuse to Link Back to Me ala Cameron".

What do you know, I am under that section! Your killing me Cameron! I fixed the problem, and I support your site! And I will add to your undeclared poll: I would have to go with 10%. Thats it!

Lesson Learned!

So I had bought a giant container of deck screws years ago to build my deck. I really didn't have anywhere to store them, so I ended up using the container as a weight to hold down a tarp on the side of my house. Today, I went out to the side of the house, and I saw a pile of rust! I didn't understand what it was at first, but I soon recognized what was left of the plastic bin. It was in complete disarray. Lesson learned! Don't leave a plastic bin of screws out in the elements- you'll be sorry if you do!

Update! Good News!!!

So Traci took Jacob in for his follow up after his CT Scan today. Good news, everything looks great! The doctor did say, that he saw from the Scan, that Jacob had a pretty nasty Sinus infection. He has been sick for a little while, but its good to get a solid diagnosis on what is ailing him. We feel blessed that everything is O.K., and we are grateful for everyone's thoughts and prayers. It is a great relief to know that he is healthy. The doctor also said that there was no reason to put him into a helmet, since he should just outgrow the bumps on his head. Good News!

Tagged

Amber Tagged me. So here I go- I will answer the questions to the best of my ability... ;)

ABOUT ME

10 years ago: I believe I was working for All City Flooring in Antioch California. It seriously took me a minute to figure that one out! Anyway, I was working there, and buying my time until Traci came home from her mission. I really enjoyed working for Mike (the owner of All City Flooring), he was one of my favorite boss', just a real down to earth guy that I could trust and be friends with. I miss working with him, but I don't miss some of the guys that worked for him!

5 Things on my To-Do List: I have a To-Do list? Umm... I give up. My biggest thing to-do is survive the weekend when my wife works! My children are sick, again, and its going to be a bit challenging. Otherwise, I try to stay away from To-do lists- its easier to avoid failure that way! haha!

5 Snacks I enjoy: I honestly don't enjoy anything that can be classified as a "snack". But here are 5 foods that I love- and drop everything for... so its kind of like my snack! Pizza! I will eat that anytime of the day-cold or hot. I probably have it at least once a week. Chocolate- all forms. I truly appreciate good quality chocolate. Cote D'or was one of my favorites in France. I must say though that I hate nuts or anything in my chocolate- what a way to ruin a perfectly good piece of chocolate! Enchiladas- need I say more? Lasagna- (I LOVE COSTCO!!!!!!!)the true food of the gods. Ice Cream. I'm kind of old fashioned with it though, I love a good quality Vanilla- nothing more, nothing less. Don't ruin it with some lousy nuts or topping- plain is the only way to appreciate it. Its also good as an ice cream sandwich- but only from Schwans!

What would I do if I were suddenly a Billionaire? I have to say- that I would fix up my house that I have right now, and travel. I would probably pay off my brothers and sisters houses(parents included) and invite them on lavish trips... Skiing, house boating, Camping, Cruises... Need I say more??? What fun is it, if you can't enjoy your experiences with your family?

3 of my bad habits: Procrastinating projects. Waking up late in the morning. Ah... here is one more that drives people nuts (Brian Bellante pointed this out- it drove him crazy!)- I leave just about an ounce of liquid in the bottom of my drinks...I don't finish it. I don't know why, but I just do it! I think it bugs Traci too.... :p

5 Places that I have lived:Antioch, CA. Paris, France. Cherbourg, France. Provo, Utah. Orem, Utah.

Things people don't know about me: This is a tough one! I graduated with a Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. I had never planned on going into Law Enforcement, but thanks to Ryan, I completely enjoy my current line of work. I had Heart Surgery when I was 5 years old, and I was cleared not too much longer after that with a clean bill of health. I went in for another Heart procedure/surgery on the 4th ofJanuary 2006, to fix an Atrial Fibrillation that started happening in July of 2005. I was also cleared from that procedure on February 24th 2006 so I could attend the Police Academy. I graduated from that in the summer of 2006.

Favorite Quote: O.K.- I added this part to it, but I saw this today, and it really struck a chord with me. Possibly because it pertains to me and what I am going through right now...
"Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become."

Well, thanks Amber. You tagged me, and I loved your Answers! It took me a little while to try to answer everything, but voila! I did it! I have no choice but to tag Amy Andersen, and Jennifer! Good luck! Have fun!

Cleared

Jake was cleared from his CT Scan on Thursday. We feel so relieved! He is scheduled to see our regular doctor next week to have him fitted for a "helmet" that will help reshape his skull. We are greatful for everyone who has expressed their concern for us and baby Jake. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Early Morning Incident

FOR THE RECORD- I staged this photo, and so you know, Traci gave him a bath right after it happened! I just couldn't get over how funny this was- so I had to restage it, with water! What did you think it was?!!?!
So I went to work this morning, really early. Around 6-ish, Cameron and Zac woke up and went to do their usual business... They are typical boys, they both enjoy pee'ing in the toilet at the same time. Unfortunately, this morning was different. Zac decided to try and pee, but instead of the toilet, he choose Cameron. I know, its kind of a sad scenario, but I am still laughing!!! Why he would do that, we may never know. I guess (as it was told to me) Zac started to pee on Cameron, and Cameron just started to cry and yell at Zac "stop pee'ing on me!!!" The poor kid. Traci tried to calm him down, but he just kept crying... She asked Zac if he did it on purpose, and his response was "YES". FUNNY.... But I did have a talk with Zac, and they can no longer pee together...

Craniosynostosis

Traci took the boys in to the doctor yesterday. It seems that our boys have a bad case of Pink Eye. While she was there, she asked the doctor about Jacobs head. There is a lump on each side of his head, and the doctor was pretty sure he has Craniosynostosis. He had us scheduled for a Head CT Scan on March 8th. Worst case scenario, he will have to have surgery. Best case scenario, he'll have to wear a helmet for a year or so. We are pretty worried about him. He seems to be doing good right now though. He loves baths, balls, and being chased around the house. He especially loves Bailey, our dog. I saw him grab her fur yesterday, and she took off- with him holding on... It was pretty funny to see him get dragged across the floor by a little dog. She sure is patient with him. He seems to torment her whenever he is awake. I don't blame her for sitting up on the couch away from his reach. We appreciate everyones support and conern. We will keep everyone posted as soon as we find out.
